Creative Coding believes that the best person to
lay out a PCB is the engineer who designed the circuit, not a draftsman or other
third party. Only an experienced designer will know which component placements
are critical for signal integrity or EMC compliance.
We also understand that when signal integrity is
not an issue placement can be optimised to aid manufacture: to improve pick and
place throughput and help the soldering process.
We're no stranger to volume manufacture - some of
our designs are sold in tens of thousands. We know that margins are under
pressure, so we won't put a resistor (or even a PCB hole) where you don't need
one. We will always aim to use the minimum number of PCB layers for the
application.
As for our design processes, we always make sure
that the PCB matches the schematic, and that the schematic contains the part and
footprint information that will give us a right-first-time design.
